Alex Helms - Owner/Arranger
"First and most importantly I am a teacher. Everything we write is informed by experiences as both a performer and, most importantly, as a teachers. Having taught students grades 5th - 12th, including high school and collegiate marching band, at programs ranging from 40 students to 200 students from minimal financial constraints to Title I & low SES, we use this information to provide the best possible product that meets students where they are so that they can achieve at their highest possible level."
In 2016 Alex Helms graduated Magna Cum Laude from Furman University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. During this time he won the South Carolina MTNA Young Artists solo competition on euphonium and was runner up at the Southeastern MTNA Young Artist solo competition. Following graduation, Alex taught in Greenville County, SC where he was voted Teacher of the Year and later received the Outstanding Young Director Award from the Theta Chapter of Phi Beta Mu. Currently, Alex teaches middle school band at Gable Middle School in Roebuck, SC and holds a masters degree in Applied Learning and Instruction from the University of South Carolina Upstate.
In 2012 Alex marched with the Carolina Crown Drum & Bugle Corp and while at Furman studied arranging for marching band under Jay Bocook. Following graduation, Alex worked with the Furman University Paladin Regiment as their visual coordinator while teaching middle school band and assisting with marching band at local high schools. Alex arranges for multiple local high school marching bands and is a member of Phi Mu Alpha, Kappa Delta Pi International Educators Association, Pi Kappa Lambda National Music Honor Society, the National Association for Music Educators, and South Carolina Band Directors Association.
In his free time, Alex enjoys doing CrossFit, reading, and arranging for marching band!

Keith Dembistky - Arranger
Keith Dembitsky is a graduate of the University of South Carolina in Columbia, where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumental Music Education, Magna Cum Laude, in 2020. During his time at USC, he became a member of several honorary fraternal organizations, including Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Service Fraternity.
From 2010 to 2018, Keith performed in 21 marching arts productions across high school, college, and Drum Corps. In 2018, he served as principal trumpet for The Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps and earned a position in a featured ensemble. He was also co-principal trumpet in the University of South Carolina Wind Ensemble alongside a graduate student and he was the lead trumpet in the USC Left Bank Big Band, the university’s premier jazz ensemble.
Keith has taught in the marching arts since 2017 and has composed for marching band since 2019. Most recently, the Carolina High School Marching Band performed his custom arrangement/composition, Scenes from the City, as their competitive program. Keith is passionate about writing music with a strong melodic character, content that challenges students to grow, and is fun to play!
When not writing music, Keith enjoys spending time with his family and his software development hobby.

Jensen Thomassie - Percussion Arranger & Sound Design
Jensen L. Thomassie is a percussionist, educator, and internationally performed composer based in Easley, South Carolina, where he serves as an elementary music teacher at East End Elementary School. He holds a Master’s degree in Percussion Performance from the University of South Carolina and a Bachelor’s degree in Percussion Performance and Music Composition from Furman University.
As a composer, Thomassie’s catalog includes over 30 works for percussion ensemble, wind ensemble, orchestra, voice, string quartet, electronics, and more. His music is regularly performed across North America, South America, Europe, and Asia, and has been performed at the Lincoln Center in New York City.
Thomassie has marched with Music City Drum Corps, the Louisiana Stars Drum and Bugle Corps, the Furman University Paladin Regiment, and the New Orleans Saints Drumline, where he also served as a music writer and arranger. As a performer, Thomassie regularly performs as a section percussionist with the Poinsett Wind Symphony and serves as a substitute percussionist with the Aiken Symphony.
Thomassie is an in-demand percussion arranger and sound designer for multiple band programs in the Southeast, and he is regularly commissioned by solo artists and ensembles including What Is Noise new music ensemble.
